Completing the “Smoke and Sparks” series, overseeing its installation, and preparing reproductions took me well into mid-2008. Since then I have continued to paint plein air. Included here are several recent completed paintings; others still require finishing touches. The first four paintings: “Distorted Reflections (Bloomfield),” “Stan’s Market (Strip District),” “Bellevue Library,” “’I Remember When there was Water in There’” were hung concurrently with “ Cityscapes and Escapes” Show, but at the Watercolor Gallery as part of the 2007 Exhibition of the Plein Air Painters of Southwestern Pennsylvania. |
